A Night Out in Pasadena...
Started the night with some fresh sashimi at Japon Bistro and ended the night with my favorite champagne Moet Chandon at Pop Champagne Bar. Good night.
Joel Robuchon
The best part was the caviar and the white truffles that were sprinkled on every dish.
Viva Las Vegas
I was very fortunate enough to stay at the 4 bedroom villa at the MGM Mansion (thank you A and K). It came with a dinner at Joel Robuchon…front row tickets to the UFC fight…a Phantom with your own driver…an indoor pool…and your own butler. The villa was so big that I got tired walking to the other rooms. These photos are from my friend’s (via...
Sasabune
Sushi Sasabune use to be one of my favorite sushi joints before but the last two times I went, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the fish. I will still go back there and give it another try because when I had their sushi the first time, I fell in love with it. Whenever I dine at Sasabune, I always get the Omakase and a bottle of their Fukukomachi Sake also...

Tagine
This is my favorite Moroccan restaurant ever! The decor inside is cute and cozy…I love all the dishes from their set menu and the best part is their chocolate soup dessert.
Coolhaus Ice Cream Truck
The ice cream sandwich that is inspired by real architects…I had my first Coolhous ice cream sandwich when I tracked it down at the Downtown Artwalk. The ice cream is hand made and served to you in edible wrapper.
My next destination: Diddy Riese Cookies
Urasawa
Urasawa inherited its format and address from Ginza Sushi-ko, the ultra expensive sushi bar owned by Masa Takayama that gained fame for its high-priced meals of exquisite seafood served nightly to a mere handful of clients. When Takayama moved on to New York to open Masa and Bar ...
I'm craving...
Foie gras wrapped with cotton candy from Bazaar.
Boxwood Cafe at The London
The Mad Hatter Tea Party at the Boxwood Cafe was a nice experience. I loved the little tea sandwiches…the sweet pastries…and my peach champagne tasted so good! It was a nice way to start your Sunday.
Petrossian
I enjoyed the champagne brunch at Petrossian this past Saturday for a girlfriend’s birthday. The steak and fries were really good…next time I want to try their caviar brunch.
Summit House
I’m a sucker for prime rib with extra horseradish and cream of corn…makes me happy!
StarChefs Rising Stars Event
Last Thursday, I attended the StarChefs Event at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. The event was filled with famous chefs…delicious savory dishes…desserts…and good old wine. I had the honor to meet Chef Thomas Keller and Chef Michael Voltaggio. I also met some fellow food bloggers which highlighted my night. :)

Provecho
I was invited to a private tasting prepared by the executive chef at Provecho. Chef Gabriel Morales prepared us some of his new dishes that are not on the menu yet. My favorites were the foie gras over french toast…the ostrich meat…and the cow tongue tacos. What a fun night…hopefully I will get invited to the next one.

A Night Out On The Town...
Last night I checked out The Radio Room at Edison Bar in Downtown La. They had a 1920 European Cabaret six piece band performing live. It definitely set the mood for the guest mixologists who prepared some awesome cocktails. The Porco Rosso (High West Rye Whiskey, Aperol, Carpano Antica with bitters and citrus. A blend of Rome and the Rocky’s) and Miss Behavin’ (A Hundred Proof...
